Honda of El Cerrito, located at 11755 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito, California, has announced that, for every person who becomes a fan of its Facebook page during the month of February, it will donate $1 to the American Red Cross to benefit earthquake victims in Haiti and assist with the on-going humanitarian relief efforts in that country.

In the wake of the 7.0 earthquake that struck the Caribbean nation of Haiti on January 2, 2010, Northern California Honda dealership, Honda of El Cerrito, located at 11755 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito, California, has announced plans to donate $1 to the American Red Cross to assist with relief efforts for every person who becomes a fan of its Facebook page during the month of February.
“Automobile dealerships have a long history of involvement in the communities they serve, from sponsoring Little League teams to participating in food drives. We’re committed to continuing this tradition of giving back, but we live in a global community now,” said Scott Bisbee, the General Manager of Honda of El Cerrito. “I was blown away by the effectiveness of the text messaging programs in quickly raising money for Haiti. I realized that we could also use technology to do our part to contribute to the efforts to help the people of this country recover from the devastation caused by the earthquake. ”
