The newly redesigned 2009 Honda Pilot arrives

The 2009 Honda Pilot comes with several additions. It is more SUV-like in terms of styling; it carries with it more features for the interior, and is more fuel efficient; has more amenities, and is safer. The third row is easier to access with its extra legroom, occupant space and cargo. The platform is more refined, too, adding to the driving comfort.

The 2009 Honda Pilot is equipped with a 3.5-liter; i-VTEC; V-6 engine, which has power of 250 hp at 253 lb ft of torque. Its LX, EX, EX-L and Touring trims come with a five-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control, by which handling becomes easier during ascent and descent.

Its Hill Start Assist; four-wheel independent suspension; Variable Torque Management 4-wheel drive system and Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management combine to give the 2009 Honda Pilot smoothness while making proper utilization of the engine.

The 2009 Honda Pilot’s interiors are within easy reach, too. Its conveniences –the Honda satellite-linked navigation system™ with voice recognition and rearview camera; Honda DVD Rear Entertainment System; Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® technology; tri-zone automatic climate control system with humidity control and air filtration; rearview mirror with rearview camera display; USB audio interface and audio system are easy to access.

Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure; brake assist; active front head restraints; three-row side-curtain airbags with rollover sensor; advanced dual-stage, dual-threshold driver and front passenger SRS airbags; Lower Anchors and Tether for Children (LATCH); tire pressure monitoring system and anti-lock brakes make this a safe bet.
